CHARITY FAQ
Why can’t I opt out of the charitable contribution?
We really wanted to bring Neverland® to Blenheim Palace this year and in order to do so have partnered with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity) which owns the rights to JM Barrie’s Peter Pan.
The contribution goes to support the charity’s work to help give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential and is part of our agreement for the use of the rights.
What is the charitable contribution for?
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) was gifted the rights to Peter Pan and Neverland in 1929 by JM Barrie.
The monies raised from your contribution will go towards GOSH Charity’s four funding areas: child and family support; life-changing medical technology and innovation; research into childhood illness; and rebuilding and refurbishment. You can find out more at gosh.org.
Why is there a charitable contribution automatically added?
In 1929, JM Barrie kindly gifted the rights of Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital to help raise money for seriously ill children.
We are working in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity to bring Peter Pan and Neverland to the Palace.
